Ky-Mani Marley was an extremely popular Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was one of the most wealthy and most popular. He was in Shottas with another singer Wyclef. Ky-Mani was signed by Shang Records in 1996 where the first album he put out was With Father Like Son. He has also released a number of singles, such as Judge Not With Patra as well as Dear Dad (which reached the highest position on the British Reggae Charts) and Who The Cap Fit remix and Sensimelia. The majority of them helped contribute to the rising popularity of Ky among the younger generation of reggae musicians. In 1997, Ky-Mani formed a band together with Praswell (Fugees) for Avenue which was a smash cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley made his first appearance at Midem, an international music showcase that was held in Miami. Marley gave a concert in the Cameo Theatre which was live broadcast to other 36 nations.
